Welcome, Church Family
As summer begins to give way to fall, we are thankful for another opportunity to share what the Lord is doing among His people. This issue centers on prayer, fellowship, faithful service, and the joy of celebrating together as a church family. Whether the news is great or small, every testimony of God’s goodness can encourage someone. We pray these pages strengthen your faith and remind you that you are a treasured part of our church family.

12 Hours of Prayer
Seeking the Lord Together
"Pray without ceasing." — 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)
Saturday, September 12, 2026 | 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
One of the greatest blessings God has given His people is the privilege of prayer. On Saturday, September 12, Hutson Grove will be hosting 12 Hours of Prayer from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
We invite our church family and friends to join together by committing to a 30-minute prayer time. You may sign up for one time slot or as many as you feel led to take throughout the day.
During your prayer time, we encourage you to pray for our church, our pastors and ministers, our families, those who are sick or discouraged, our missionaries, our nation, and for souls to be saved. Most of all, let us seek God's presence and ask Him to send revival to our hearts, our homes, and our community.
A sign-up sheet is available at the church with 30-minute time slots throughout the day. We encourage everyone to participate, whether you are able to commit to one half-hour or several. As each person faithfully prays, we will be joining together in a full day devoted to seeking the Lord.
If you have a special prayer request, you may also submit it through our church website. We would be honored to pray with you.
As we unite in prayer, may we be reminded of the promise found in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV):
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
We look forward to spending this special day seeking the Lord together and trusting Him to do great things in our church, our families, and our community.

FROM PRAYER TO PRAISE

A Holy Ghost-Filled Service at Hutson Grove
On July 26, 2026, the church family at Hutson Grove gathered for a Holy Ghost-filled service. It began with Spirit-filled singing by Bro. David Hodge, Bro. Steve Pratt, and visiting singers Bro. Kenny Sawyers, Bro. David Simmons, Sis. Mavis Hughes, Sis. Delicia McGill, and Sis. Maya Wright.
The song that Bro. Steve Pratt sang, “I've Got a Letter From My Father in My Hand,” took me back to the old times. Lord, what a day. My heart is so full.
We were so blessed by our visiting guest, Bro. Charlie Pratt, preaching on “Seeking Those Things Which Are Above.” Such a wonderful message. The Lord was surely present.

The church house was full with approximately 130 souls. It was so wonderful to come together to worship and fellowship in the Lord.
We also want to thank all of our musicians and all of our visitors who drove many miles to be with us.

Faith in Action at Tellico Plains
"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." — Matthew 18:20 (KJV)
The congregation at Tellico Plains continues to be encouraged by the Lord's faithfulness as they faithfully serve Him in their community.
The church is grateful for the many blessings God has bestowed upon its members. Sister Mildred shared her thankfulness for God's daily care, praising Him for her health, her family, and the wonderful church family and pastors the Lord has given them.
The congregation also continues its work alongside First Piney Grove Church of God. Brother Richie Booth shared appreciation for the visiting ministers who have come to encourage the church, including Bro. Steve and Sister Shannon. The church asks that everyone continue to remember Sis. Alma Freeman, Bro. Tom, and all of the members in prayer.
Sister Mary shared a special burden for the community, asking believers everywhere to pray that local families—whose ancestors once worshipped in this church—will feel the Lord drawing them back home.
Kristi Kelley also requested prayer for her family over the coming months, trusting that the Lord knows every need. We invite our entire church family to join together in lifting up Kristi and her loved ones in prayer.
As a church family, let us continue to remember our brothers and sisters in Tellico Plains. May the Lord strengthen their ministry and bless their fellowship.

Summer Blessings at Loudon

Greetings from the Loudon Church of God, The Gospel Assembly! God has been good to us this summer. We have enjoyed several wonderful services and welcomed a few visitors, which has been especially encouraging.
I know I speak for our entire congregation when I say how much we enjoyed seeing everyone at the July Ministers’ Meeting. The Lord poured out His blessings upon us.
We ask our church family to please remember Bobby and Gail Herrington, Bro. Tommy Pratt, Bro. William Wimpee, and Bro. Charlie Kitchens in prayer. Each has faced different health challenges during the past year. Please also pray for our small congregation—that the Lord will help us grow in number and that each of us will continue to grow spiritually.
We warmly invite you to come worship with us. We still hold Sunday evening services at 5:00 p.m., so please keep that time in mind if you would like to visit.

We are pleased to announce the engagement of Trenton Hodge and Ava Barber. We thank the Lord for bringing them together and pray for His wisdom, love, and continual guidance as they prepare for marriage. May their home be founded upon faith, love, and service to the Lord. WAYS TO ENCOURAGE YOUR CHURCH FAMILY THIS MONTH
Small acts of kindness can mean so much. Here are a few practical ways to show God’s love to your brothers and sisters in Christ this month:
• Send a handwritten note of appreciation to your pastor or a church leader. • Make a phone call to a shut-in just to say you are thinking of them. • Offer to give a ride to someone who may have trouble getting to services. • Share a specific Scripture that has encouraged you recently with a friend.
